This is a read-aloud, almost-true fairy tale. It is an adventure which takes place in the White Mountains and involves badly-played guitars, skirmishes and other horrendous events.The time may be the present. The characters are like someone you may have met before. They are:
The Bacties are natives of Bacteriania – which is a land as old as the hills, as wide as the oceans, and as easily accessible by bicycle, little red wagon or pogostick as any land one might wish to reach.
- The Bacties (or "Varmints" as they are sometimes called) – so teeny-tiny that they cannot be seen except through a powerful microscope and possibly Grandfather's bifocals. They could be compared to Leprechauns or Elves or Imps.
- The Brush and Floss Tribes – who, by tradition, should be the only ones allowed to roam free in the White Mountains.
- And Thaddeus, who lets it all happen.
This story could be all about you or one of your friends or family.
